About Mission Hills

With views of the San Diego Bay and charming Old Town, Mission Hills nestles easily into the hills north of Downtown in historic elegance. It is bounded on the south by Mission Valley, on the west by Goldfinch Street and Reynard Way, on the east by Old Town, and on the north by Horton Avenue and is mainly populated by houses built in the beginning of the 20th century when the area was first developed. Many of the more modern houses were constructed in the 1950s and 1960s, adding to the panoramic appeal of the area.

Washington Street and University Avenue serve as the main thoroughfares for this primarily residential community, while the Mission Hills Historical District, the Fort Stockton Line Historical District, and the famous Mission Hills Nursery bring added interest to this architecturally diverse neighborhood of fine homes and serene natural landscaping.
